I am always on the lookout for New and Exciting things. I don’t like ordering the same thing at restaurants or driving the same way home. It drives my husband crazy but we’ve found some interesting places and things because of my insatiable appetite for New Things.
Here are few things that I found this week:
Former software designer turned chef Michael Natkin created this blog to showcase his love of cooking, restaurant reviews and more! He has a series on how to make your food pop.
Rick Turoczy started this blog to cover technology and start-up news in the Portland, Oregon area. His article on Conan O’Brien’s refusal to take the late late slot on NBC is worth checking out and so is his weekly podcast on iTunes.
Einene Bier Bitte
Beer and Blog celebrated it’s second anniversary this month by providing free beer to the first 40 people who showed up at their Portland, OR based event. They hold weekly beer events each Friday at the Green Dragon Pub. People who live in Portland and those who follow the beer scene in Portland will love this blog.
Keep it Green
Admit it. You hate sandwich bags. If you rinse them out and use them again it makes you feel cheap. But throwing them away is so wasteful. That’s why Kristine Lebow “invented” the Keeper Sacks. Americans threw away 380 billion sandwich bags in 2008 and Lebow started this niche market to create a more sustainable product.
Season 7 of my favorite guilty pleasure, Project Runway, starts tonight on Lifetime. Let’s hope season 7 isn’t a snooze-fest like season 6. After the first contestant is auf’d check out: Project Rungay for THE best after-show re-cap on the Internet. Tom and Lorenzo will have you screaming with laughter and coming back for more.
